Alternative Press Index (EBSCO)
A bibliographic database covering over 300 international alternative, radical, and left periodicals since 1991. Born of the New Left, the API was launched to provide access to the emerging theories and practices of radical social change. API coverage is both international and interdisciplinary, and indexes journal, newspaper, and magazine articles.

Child Development & Adolescent Studies (EBSCO)
Contains references from biomedical and social sciences worldwide on the growth and development of children through the age of 21. This database includes all of the issues of Child Development Abstracts & Bibliography from 1927 – 2001 (by the Society for Research in Child Development) plus new coverage on child rights and welfare issues. Includes abstracts of articles from hundreds of journals and a bibliography of thousands of technical reports, books, book chapters, theses and dissertations.

GenderWatch (ProQuest)
A full text database of 140 international publications plus reports, pamphlets, papers and conference proceedings devoted to women's and gender issues. Archival material dating back to the mid 1970's.

HLAS: Handbook of Latin American Studies (Internet)
The Handbook is a bibliography on Latin America consisting of works selected and annotated by scholars. Edited by the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress, the multidisciplinary Handbook alternates annually between the social sciences and the humanities. Each year, more than 130 academics from around the world choose over 5,000 works for inclusion in the Handbook. Continuously published since 1936, the Handbook offers Latin Americanists an essential guide to available resources.

The Multicultural Pavilion (Internet)
Subtitled Multicultural Education Resources and Dialogues for Students, Educators, and Activists, this searchable and browsable site contains articles, quotations and proverbs, song lyrics, historical speeches and documents, and other resources and links designed to facilitate teaching based upon multicultural issues.

Office on Women's Health (Internet)
Office on Women's Health is a gateway to women's health information provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This site includes free health information on more than 800 topics of importance to women, more than 100 fact sheets to download and print, checklists and health tools, and links to organizations and resources. Also offers health information and resources for special populations, including minority women, women with disabilities, men, and Spanish speakers.

Social Services Abstracts (ProQuest)
Indexes over 1,500 periodicals. Covers current research in the fields of social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development.

Sociology Database (ProQuest)
Sociology Database covers the international literature of sociology and social work, including relevant titles from related fields such as social policy, social care, social services, social anthropology, gender studies, gerontology, social psychology and population studies. It includes hundreds of full-text scholarly journals, as well as dissertations and other sources.

Women's Studies on Disc 1989-1996 CD-ROM available at CIIS Library
Women's Studies on Disc contains entries from nearly 100 journal titles. Coverage is international in scope, with emphasis on American publications. Entries cover scholarly articles, book reviews, and popular material. Women's Studies covers a broad range of issues in women's studies, including feminist art and literature, gender issues in education, women in business, violence against women, family life, health care, and popular culture.
