CIIS Library Gift Policy

We are grateful for the many donations given to the Laurance S. Rockefeller Library.

Books, periodicals and other library information materials (maps, computer software, media, etc.) are generally accepted as gifts. All gifts will be reviewed to see whether they fit our collection development guidelines, needs, and usage. Materials not retained may be offered to other libraries, the general community, or sold.

We will be happy to provide you with a letter acknowledging your gift, if requested. Note that CIIS is not in a position to assist individuals in estimating the value of a gift for tax purposes.

Individual donations, books donated in memory of specific individuals or purchased with gift book funds may be identified with gift bookplates.
