Academic Video ONline poster

The Library has added a new streaming video content subscription: Academic Video Online from Alexander Street.

Academic Video Online contains over 62,000 streaming academic videos on a wide range of topics such as counseling, health, health policy, anthropology, education, politics, environmental studies, religion, diversity studies, performing arts, business, film, media studies, art, history, and music from over 1,500 distributors, producers and filmmakers such as PBS, BBC, Microtraining, 60 MINUTES / CBS, A+E Networks’ HISTORY®, Now You Know Media, Documentary Educational Resources (DER), Filmakers Library, Envision, Stanley Milgram, Dallas Telecourses, Davidson Films, Bloomberg, The Open University, Intelecom, Insight Media, and Annenberg Learner.

Paper Tigers

Paper Tigers is an intimate look into the lives of selected students at Lincoln High School, an alternative school that specializes in educating traumatized youth. Set amidst the rural community of Walla Walla, WA, the film intimately examines the inspiring promise of Trauma Informed Communities - a movement that is showing great promise in healing youth struggling with the dark legacy of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES).
