Library closure Summer 2012

This summer, the CIIS Library will be moving to new quarters on the 2nd floor of the Mission Street building.

In preparation for that move, after May 25, 2012 the book and journal stacks (only) will be closed until the Library reopens in its new location. CIIS physical books will not be available for circulation during this time (except for Summer Term Course Readings).

Between May 26 and when the Library reopens in the new space before the start of the Fall semester:

All online resources will remain available as usual:

• e-books
• online journals and articles
• specialized search engines and academic databases
• the Library Web pages and all resources available through it (such as RefWorks)
• Electronic reserves will remain available for the Summer term only
• Physical reserves, interlibrary loan and reference services will be available during limited times.

We will also continue to provide access to the usual Library services (though limited):

• Reference (by request only)
• Interlibrary Loan (for books and articles not available at CIIS, including materials made inaccessible by the closure)
• Summer Reserve materials can be read or watched in the Library office, accessible from 1:00pm - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Our goal is to minimize the impact of the move and closure on the CIIS community's academic work.

RefWorks has updated and improved its display, and added a few features – but don’t worry, all your saved data are still in your account!
